Carnival Fun Ship 2.whoa!

FUN SHIP 2.0 is the next wave of innovation from Carnival. Imagine everything you already love about a cruise, enhanced with new experiences that get you dancing more, laughing more and simply having more fun onboard.

Of course there is the routine maintenance, standard cosmetic updates upgrades to carpeting, tile work, wall coverings and furniture. In addition to the standard updates, Carnival has added lots of new bars, comedy and entertainment options.

Carnival Cruise Lines has begun the first phase of it's $500 million Fun Ship 2.0 enhancement initiative. Carnival Liberty was the first ship to visit dry dock to receive the new updates. She began sailing this past weekend on Oct 22 with her new wardrobe. More ships are scheduled to undergo the enhancements in 2012 as listed below.

Punchliner Comedy Club presented by George Lopez
George Lopez will be the lines' "Curator of Comedy". He will be selecting the best comics for the Punchliner Comedy Clubs.

Guy's Burger Joint
Food Network personality, Guy Fieri, will be bringing the roadside burger joint appeal to the cruise ships. Guy's Burger Joint is the cool poolside spot for hand-cut fries and juicy burgers complete with a toppings bar.

Hasbro The Game Show
Take your favorite Hasbro family board games and enlarge them to larger than life. Now put them up on stage in a competition that puts your skills to the test.

DJ Irie and Spin'iversity
DJ Irie from the Miami Heat will be training DJ's fleetwide. DJ IRIE's Spin'iversity' graduates will be spinning expanded musical catalogs in clubs across the fleet for maximum guest bodyrocking.

A full poolside bar featuring a great selection of Caribbean rum-based concoctions.
