Brief description of some experiences you will enjoy with Explorations by Collette:
California’s Wine Country takes passengers to the Kendall Jackson Wine Center for a tour of the winery, and on a cellar tour of Korbel. Hidden Treasures of the Maritimes tour provides an opportunity to sample L’Acadie Blanc, a wine produced from a rare grape found only in Nova Scotia, and Ice Wine, the fine dessert wine. Italy’s Treasures includes a cooking class in a winery with a tasting. Clients also can discover South Australia’s wines during tastings at two Barossa Valley wineries on Australian Adventure. Naturally New Zealand includes two nights in the art-deco village of Napier with a winery visit.

Dining experiences include dinner in the oldest tavern in the United States on New England’s Coastlines which also features a lobster feast. On Plains of Africa, travelers experience a traditional dinner in the bush with Masai entertainment. A typical Bedouin lunch in the Wadi Rum is a highlight on the Journey through Jordan & Egypt tour. Cooking demonstrations are included in The Roof of the World: China and Tibet tour the Authentic Ireland tour. The Hidden Treasures of the Maritimes tour includes a visit to Nova Scotia’s western shore and a cooking class with an award-winning chef on how to cook Digby scallops.

The programs also include distinctive accommodations. Italy’s Treasures includes four nights in a Tuscan Villa and a stay in a castle on the Italian Riviera. On Treasures of Spain, clients stay in Paradors, where former castles, fortresses and monasteries have been transformed into hotels and reflect the area’s history and culture. The Plains of Africa tour includes two nights at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club, once William Holden’s private retreat.
